PRECIOUS PLASTIC / RECYCLED PLASTIC JOINERY
designer: Ádám Tóth
The recycled plastic nodes holding the structure together were created as a result of the internship spent at Precious Plastic community.
Precious Plastic promotes local recycling of plastic waste by designing recycling machines and open-sourcing these designs online. As a result, recycling workshops are established in many different parts of the world, which make aesthetic and uniquely patterned objects from waste.
The node of the structure shown here is made by manual injection molding and consists of three elements. The complex junction allows the slats to be placed in twelve directions and can also be used as a structural element of greenhouses.
