ROSE-WINDOW /  PARALLEL THREADS EXHIBITION

designer: Zsófi Zala

The Parallel Threads exhibition evokes the memory of the creators of the former Art Nouveau Art Colony of Gödöllő.

The concept of Rose-window was inspired by the circular window in the stairwell in the house of colony establisher Nagy Sándor. This window is a very prominent element of the building, however, unlike most of its windows, it does not look at the courtyard, but at the neighborhood, which has changed quite a bit over the course of one hundred and twenty years, thus not reflecting the art nouveau colony era. By rewriting the current view, the Rose-window - which is an organic composition made of plants native to the garden - evokes the garden culture typical of the artists' colony.
